For years…
Avoidance for months…
And BOOM!

There it is…
As though something new,
Yet it’s something old.
The emotions all over again,
Those which you avoided
The first time,
Third time around…
Sixth time around…

Compartmentalizing it all
Just to focus,
Stay on track…
Because soon enough
It was…
Solider up for the war…
A battle,
One that should have
Been fought years ago.
Treaties made…
Contracts in place…
But never the case.

So BOOM!

It just hits you…
The repetition of
A never ending battle.
