I knew the switch 
Had to be flicked.
The breaker disconnected.

Leaving it on,
Would only cause a
Power surge...
A blackout.

One I no longer know
If I will survive.

For the lights
Have always
Flickered.
And I've built
My resistance to
Their inconsistency.

But now...
They aren't
Just flickering,
They're pulsating...
