Wrong Friend

Approached by two,
One says and does,
Everything right.
The other,
Stays at distance,
Yet,
Remains intriguing.

But you can’t help,
Getting wheeled in,
By the first.
For they are present,
On point,
Making it a priority.

Yet,
The fact remains,
There is nothing,
No connection,
Nothing in common.

For your connection,
Is with the other,
They are just as damaged,
As you.

And as time passes,
You know…
It was the wrong friend.
