Our Souls
We share our souls,
With those we love,
Admire,
And care for.
Sharing without certainty,
Without knowing,
If others share theirs,
Yet believing they are,
As though it creates some sort of connection,
Such falsity,
Yet so bare,
So raw.
For we share with such love,
Such vulnerability,
Hoping that,
It will create some sort of understanding.
But does it really?
For we speak our truth,
Speak our deepest of thoughts,
Our fears,
Insecurities,
Without knowing if anyone is actually listening.
Bare our hearts,
Without knowing if anyone is actually appreciating.
But is it that we are?!
Our souls requiring a listening ear,
Even if,
No one is listening.
